Wonderful weather these days. Too bad they have to be stained by violence in downtown Athens. To which there is definitely a cause, but it… doesn’t feel like a solution. Platoon‘s (1986) tagline comes to mind, “the first casualty of war is innocence”, which is surely on the spot regarding (mainly but not solely) the violent outbreaks of the last two years.
And sure as hell doesn’t feel right when others’ property is burnt down (few months ago), by people who want to prove the meaninglessness of property and wealth in the word we live in. Banks, shopping malls and any form of corporation I understand, yes, but not people’s shops. The insurance companies’ money pool won’t be drained fast enough.
